Josh Mawhorter had been teaching for about five years in two California charter schools until this past October, when both schools demanded that he either show proof of having received the Covid-19 vaccine or submit to weekly Covid-19 tests. Josh refused to do either, and was fired from one school and placed on "administrative leave" with the other.

Writes Josh, in a piece for FEE:

It would be incongruous with what I consistently teach my students to back down and comply in a matter of rights, liberty, and principles. A quote, often misattributed to Thomas Jefferson, but nevertheless true, applies, β€œIn matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.”

Today, we are very happy to announce that those two charter schools' loss is Freogan Fellowship's gain – and that Josh will be teaching classes for us beginning in January!

Josh will offer the following classes for teens:

"Introductory economics from an Austrian perspective";

"U.S. History from around 1600 - 1865";

and "Personal Finance for Teens."
