If you don't already follow Ethical Skeptic on Twitter, why on earth not? He (I've seen others refer to him as a "he" so I'm assuming it's a "he") is producing some of the most useful and insightful data analysis on Covid-19. (His website is here.)
Here's his latest:
What does it mean? Deaths from ALL causes (in the US) - the blue line - have been higher than the average "deaths from all causes" seen from 2014-2017.
Deaths from all causes is a useful way of guessing at the impact of Covid-19, because there is so much uncertainty (and dishonesty) in the testing and reporting of both deaths and cases. But "deaths from all causes" is harder to manipulate, so gives a more reliable guesstimate of how many have died from Covid-19.
That number - deaths from all causes - is now BELOW the average for this time of year. Starting in mid February, it was above the average. It then spiked in March, but it is now WELL BELOW the average.
